TAILoR - Telmisartan and Insulin Resistance in HIV

TAILoR is a clinical trial designed to determine the effect of telmisartan on insulin resistance in HIV positive patients on combination anti-retroviral therapy.

This trial is co-sponsored by the University of Liverpool and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen NHS Hospital Trust, funded by the National Institute for Health Research - Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation Programme (NIHR-EME), and coordinated  by the Clinical Trials Research Centre at the University of Liverpool.

The first TAILoR participant was recruited in March 2012. We have now reached our target recruitment of 377 patients recruited across 19 open sites
